I believe that interior design is a collaborative process that reflects my design philosophy. We work closely with our clients to understand their design needs and preferences, and strive to create spaces that are both beautiful and functional, often incorporating custom furniture that enhances the overall aesthetic. My work is about helping your story unfold, not about imposing a style onto a space.

We explore the design needs and desires of our clients to create unparalleled custom furniture pieces. Featured here is a Deco macassar ebony, waterfall-based cabinet inlaid with faux ivory, showcasing sabots and gold nugget pulls by P.E. Guerin for an office in New York.
With over 40 years of experience in the design industry, starting in 1978 by sketching furniture for the eponymous Auffray & Company, I possess the skills and expertise to tackle any project—big or small, modern or traditional— from concept to completion. Our design philosophy is rooted in delivering exceptional results that meet our clients' unique visions.

Shown above is a guest room for a beach house on the ocean in Sagaponack, NY. The custom furniture includes beds that can be shifted together, finished in laminate that is impervious to salt air. The custom designed Art Deco armoire features pink iridescent automotive lacquer with custom frosted glass and a polished steel disc handle. Our design philosophy embraces a holistic approach to interior design, considering factors such as lighting, color, texture, and flow. Our goal is to create beautiful, unique spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also promote our client's health and well-being.
