I began my journey in the design and decorating business in 1978, drawing and sketching custom furniture and boiserie for Auffray & Company in New York.
Displayed here is a pair of "Bressan" display cabinets, crafted by the renowned Auffray & Company in 1969. The style reflects Louis XV, and the elegant finish features a striking blue lacquer.

Custom furniture design is in our DNA -- I started in 1978, drawing and sketching French furniture, built-ins, and paneling for the venerable Auffray & Company, as a draftsman and assistant to the world-famous designer William Turner and furniture designer for pioneer in the design industry Lorin Marsh.

This contemporary vignette in a modern penthouse mid-rise apartment in the desert showcases exquisite architectural design, conveying warmth and elegance with Modern Masters satin sprayed wall finishes, custom furniture in the form of dark wood built-ins, and sleek Dolomite backsplashes.

For example, this classically styled fireplace boasts a contemporary flair. The mantle and breast are completely custom made from hand-selected limestone, expertly cut, milled, and polished to designer specifications. The firebox features an automatic gas-fired white birch log set, elegantly set in red herringbone fire brick and conveniently remote controlled.


For the Garden City Hotel's Regency Ballroom, our 1985 design for the architectural paneling, wall treatments and lighting were inspired by the 1930's French Luxury Liner "Normandy" and still exist today.

This style, which I call New Colonial, juxtaposes traditional crown moldings and Louix XVI chairs with modern art to create an inviting and elegant background for the cerused oak dining table set with glittering crystal candelabra.

This award winning, classically inspired living room designed in 1995 features a Schonbek Versailles chandelier laden with cut crystal. Custom drapery panels and festoons are hand-blocked silk. The bespoke Channel sofa is covered in an airy matelasse. Raw silk stripe on chair. The Tibetan Rug was made to order by Stark.
